ABOUT THE POSITION
VHB is seeking qualified applicants for an Archaeology Laboratory Manager position in Atlanta, Georgia. The Archaeology Laboratory Manager is responsible for the processing, cataloguing, preserving, and analyzing material recovered from archaeological investigations. Additionally, the Archaeology Laboratory Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the laboratory and ensuring that technicians and lab personnel are employing proper methodologies for reporting and analysis. The Archaeology Laboratory Manager works closely with Principal Investigators, Project Archaeologists, Field Directors, and technicians in developing data management procedures that meet state and federal curation and repository standards. Other responsibilities of the position include management of our intern program, scoping, and maintaining lab and field equipment and materials. VHB’s Atlanta, GA office is seeking an Archaeologist to work with our Environmental Services Group. Key responsibilities of the position include conducting and supervising archaeological surveys, preparing and reviewing archaeological resource assessment reports, and evaluating archaeological resources for energy, transportation, planning, housing, and land development projects. This opportunity will require relocation to the Atlanta area with relocation assistance provided for the successful candidate. The selected candidate will work with a dynamic team of transportation planners and engineers on a variety of public, private, and institutional projects within broad cross-section of markets, including real estate municipal, state agencies, higher education, federal lands and aviation. VHB’s New York City office, named to Crain’s New York Business 100 Best Places to Work in New York City, is seeking a highly motivated, outgoing, and effective Senior Site / Civil Project Manager with 11+ years of land development experience in private sector real estate to join its growing Civil/Design practice. This hire will support projects for New York City metro region.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a dynamic organization and lead a growing team while working on exciting assignments throughout the region. Candidate would lead projects from start to finish, including initial scoping through design, permitting approvals, and construction phase services for a wide range of civil engineering projects. This will include large scale multi-phase developments integrating public roadways and City infrastructure, as well as high-profile institutional work including opportunities in health care and higher education.
Responsibilities
- Manage small, medium, and large design efforts, working within a team of professionals to develop site/civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of projects within all boroughs of NYC and surrounding communities, where needed

- Well-developed skill in applying GIS technology to solve difficult analytical problems is preferred

Minimum Requirements:
- 8-11 years of engineering experience, depending on level of education
- BS in Civil Engineering (a master’s degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience)
- PE licensure
- Experience with travel demand modeling software, such as Cube Voyager, TransCAD, and PTV VISUM
- Technical writing skills and technical presentation skills
- Experience in managing and editing geospatial databases is preferred

Senior Civil Transportation Engineer / Project Manager | Hybrid | New York City Metro
VHB's New York City office is seeking an 8+ year Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager who is passionate about working on complex infrastructure projects in NYC Metro Region. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team and tackle the City’s most complex public infrastructure projects including roadway and rail, as well as private development projects. We work on everything from upgrading the City’s streets, utilities, highways, and parks to large-scale real estate developments including hospital expansions.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

- Support preparation of land development design and permitting documents
- Assist with project financial performance and client relations
