Traffic ITS Engineer

About the Position

VHB’s Orlando, Florida office is seeking a Traffic/ITS Engineer to join their Transportation group. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, across diverse disciplines, giving you exposure to a wide variety of projects in size and scope.

Responsibilities

• Assist in traffic analysis, concept development, and traffic operations studies
• Assist in developing traffic signal, signing and pavement marking, lighting and ITS/ATMS plans
• Support development of specifications, and estimates for construction
• Develop lighting design analysis reports, systems engineering documents, and other design support documents
• Perform field data collection and other on-site project support activities

 Skills & Abilities

• Working knowledge of data analysis tools such as Excel
• Working knowledge of design software, such as ORD, MicroStation and AutoCAD
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Team-oriented with strong capability to work independently
• A strong work ethic with the desire to learn and achieve
• The ability to work on multiple projects and work independently

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 0 to 1 years’ experience in traffic/ITS Engineering
• Registered EIT in the state of FL preferred
