About the Position

 

VHB’s Tampa, FL office is seeking a Gulf Coast Residential Market Lead with strong single-family residential experience to join their Land Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, across diverse disciplines, giving you exposure to a wide variety of homebuilder and developer clients with residential projects of varying size and scope.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic leadership to the Gulf Coast’s Real Estate and Planning + Design Practices
  • Advises VHB clients in the areas of:
    • Market research
    • Vision and positioning of projects
    • Entitlements, permitting and approvals
    • Site evaluation and land resource mapping
    • Project Budgeting
    • Return and Risk Assessment
  • Generates new single-family residential and other business development opportunities
  • Establishes and tracks project milestones and business goals
  • Maintains ongoing communication with clients to communicate project status, changes in conditions or other key points of information
  • Provides oversight, direction, management, mentoring and ongoing open communication to staff

 Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Team oriented with strong capability to motivate others
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter
  • Must demonstrate superior ability in collaborative problem solving with stakeholders, clients, and teammates
  • Must have prior experience in managing and implementing single-family residential and master-planned community projects
  • Must have knowledge of major land holdings, master developers, and homebuilders within the Tampa Bay area

Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will have 15+ years of land development consulting experience
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering
  • State of Florida Professional Engineering license
  • Experience in managing and recruiting staff at all levels
  • Track record of business development in the single-family residential market sector
