Track Engineering Intern

ABOUT THE POSITION

NYC’s Transit & Rail team is looking for an intern. Our group focuses on Railroad projects, primarily track design. We design plans and profiles for railroads. We have clients from all over the region that we do work for and are currently expanding our Track Engineering department.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of plans, specs and analyses
• Prepares basic sketches and calculations for site plan designs (e.g., layout and grading).

Skills and Attributes

• Basic knowledge of fundamental civil engineering concepts and practices.
• Familiarity with industry-standard design and analysis systems preferred
• CADD familiarity preferred

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor of Civil Engineering or related field
• 0+ year of experience

Salary Range: $19/hr - $26/hr. However, the final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, and experience.
