VHB follows a Hybrid work environment – Three Days in office & Two Days from your primary residence.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data collection, data analysis, feasibility studies, and other tasks relevant to the preparation of master planning documentation including transportation and mobility, smart cities, sustainability and resilience planning. 
  • Conduct data collection, data analysis, and identification of best practices relevant to the preparation of sustainability and resilience baseline reporting, inclusive of GHG emissions inventories, climate risk assessments, operational and maintenance. 
  • Participate in public engagement and outreach efforts.
  • Produce supporting graphics, maps, and imagery for project deliverables.
  • Conduct planning assessments using analytical tools such as GIS to evaluate data, identify trends, and develop documentation to summarize results and recommendations. 
  • Interact with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in an efficient and effective manner.

Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable passion for community planning, sustainability, resiliency.
  • The ability to manage multiple assignments and work in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of graphics and visualization software such as Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Sketch Up or AutoCAD. 
  • Working knowledge of data analysis tools such as ArcGIS, PowerBI, and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of public outreach platforms such as Mural, Survey123, Survey Monkey, and PollEV. 
  • Proficiency with communication and presentation tools such, Word, and PowerPoint 
  • A strong work ethic with the desire to learn and achieve.
  • Self-motivated/self-starter with attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • BS in urban planning, sustainability, environmental sciences, MS degree a plus
  • 1-3 years of experience 
  • AICP candidacy and LEED certification preferred, not required.
