ABOUT THE POSITION

Civil Engineer – Renewable Energy | New England

Responsibilities

  • Work within an integrated team of engineers, environmental scientists, surveyors, transportation designers, and landscape architects in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of renewable energy infrastructure projects with a focus on sustainability and resiliency
  • Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues
  • Preparation of design plans from schematic design through construction documents
  • Assist in the preparation of permitting materials
  • Technical and Design Report writing

Skills & Abilities

  • Self-motivated with ability to think critically and creatively
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Collaborate with designers and CADD technicians in the development of drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes, and client specific project specifications and requirements
  • Ability to manage deliverable and time commitments

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 3-5 years of professional site/civil engineering experience, including consulting/private sector experience
  • EIT preferred
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required
  • GIS, HydroCAD, and StormCAD experience a plus
  • Experience preparing graphics and maps highly desired
