Overview

ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB is looking for an On Call Landscape Architect to assist VHB with the growth and development of the North Carolina (NC) Institutional Market (education and healthcare practices) in Raleigh and Charlotte and potentially in South Carolina.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in defining the education and healthcare markets.
  • Support business development activities in coordination with Institutional Market Leader and the leadership in the NC offices.
  • Assist in identifying and hiring for the Raleigh and Charlotte offices that will strengthen our ability to capture a greater share of education and healthcare work across the RTP and Charlotte metro areas
  • Provide mentorship to Landscape Architects in the Charlotte office with conceptual and schematic design to win and produce potentially significant award-winning projects.
  • Assist in developing relationships and business with new clients
  • Provide introductions and assist in establishing relationships that deliver new business with, but not limited to Architects, Healthcare owners, Higher Education owners and Contractors.

Qualifications

  • 15+ landscape architecture experience with demonstrated professional growth of increased project responsibilities from design through construction.
  • BA in Planning or related area of study relevant to specialization (e.g., Environmental Studies, Urban Planning, Urban Design/Studies, Regional Planning, Sustainability Planning, Economics, Aviation, Civil Engineering, Urban Transportation Planning).
  • BLA/MLA preferred.
  • Landscape Architect registration/license.
