ABOUT THE POSITION
Licensed Site Professional/Project Manager
VHB’s Site Investigation & Remediation team is seeking an Environmental Project Manager - Licensed Site Professional (LSP) to join our Watertown, Massachusetts office. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage environmental site assessments and remediation projects.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Supervise/coordinate field activities including sampling, data collection, and site monitoring.
- Prepare and review technical reports and remediation plans.
- Provide expert guidance on environmental issues and site conditions.
- Stay current with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Serve as primary client contact, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Maintain strong client relationships and support business development efforts.
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in internal training and professional development.
- Provide Quality Assurance (QA) review and quality control (QC) during project lifecycle and in accordance with VHB quality standards.
Skills & Abilities
- Experience working on contaminated sites throughout Massachusetts including interaction with state regulators (MassDEP)
- Strong knowledge of site assessment/characterization, soil and groundwater management, data analysis, remediation techniques, and risk assessment is required
- Ability to make sound decisions regarding regulatory applicability and respond to clients in an efficient manner
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental or related science, geology, civil or environmental engineering, or related field. Masters Preferred.
- 11+ years of professional environmental/remediation consulting experience
- Licensed Site Professional certification required
- Other professional licensure (Professional Geologist, Professional Engineer, etc.) and experience with other New England regulatory programs a plus
- Current OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.
