Senior Revit Designer

ABOUT THE POSITION

Senior Revit Designer – NY - Hybrid

VHB is looking for an experienced Senior Revit Designer, ideally in our NY offices, but we're open to exceptional candidates from anywhere within our footprint. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers and architects to develop structural drawings from conceptual phase to final design for a variety of buildings and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Provide Revit modeling support to Project Planners and Managers as needed during project planning phase through final design and construction
• Create and manage final design structural models and integrate with architectural/MEP/civil models and CAD file.
• Develop /update BIM standards, workflows and quality control to ensure consistency, quality and efficiency
• Mentor junior Revit and CAD designers and lead the design team on model coordination and planset production.

Skills and Abilities:

• Effective communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills to produce high-quality deliverables in an efficient manner.
• Team oriented with strong capability to work independently across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Motivated to lead and mentor others on Revit and drawing production procedures.
• Has a persistent initiative to continually learn new technical practices and to earn the confidence of clients, company management/colleagues, and regulators.

Requirements/ Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma/GED required. Associate/bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study preferred.
• 5-10+ years of experience in Revit architectural and/or structural modeling and plan production; 10+ year experience preferred
• 5+ years’ experience supporting Architects and Engineers
• Must have excellent working knowledge of drafting standards.
• Hybrid office attendance

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in New York City is $90,000 -110,000, estimated salary range for Albany/Hauppauge locations is $70,000-90,000. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.
