ABOUT THE POSITION
VHB is currently seeking an Entry Level Transportation Analyst to join our Orlando, FL team. Responsibilities
- Assist in development of transportation planning studies, report documents, and transportation master and action plans
- Assist in traffic analysis, concept development, and traffic operations studies
- Assist with development of support materials for public involvement activities
- Support with authorship of project-related documentation for a range of transportation planning studies, demographic analyses, and multi-modal / transit-oriented projects
- Perform field data collection and other on-site project support activities
- Assist with conducting planning assessments using analytical tools such as GIS to evaluate data, identify trends, and develop documentation to summarize results
Skills and Attributes
- Working knowledge of data analysis tools such as ArcGIS and Excel
- Working knowledge of software such as Synchro, Sidra, and HCS.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Team-oriented with strong capability to work independently
- A strong work ethic with the desire to learn and achieve
- The ability to work on multiple projects and work independently
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering or related field
- 0-1 year of transportation planning/engineering experience
