Land Development Civil Engineer – Washington, DC or Tysons Corner, VA

We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer with 3–5+ years of experience to join our growing Land Development and Infrastructure team in Washington, DC or Tysons Corner, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key role on high-profile, community-changing projects that are anything but ordinary.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with engineers, planners, and designers to develop civil engineering plans and specifications for a wide range of land development and transportation-related projects.
• Contribute to design work in stormwater management, site layout, grading, utility systems, and erosion/sediment control.
• Prepare plans and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D; MicroStation experience is a plus.
• Conduct fieldwork as needed, including measurements, observations, and photo documentation.
• Perform engineering analyses and assist in preparing supporting calculations and technical documentation.
• Create text and spreadsheet documents, manage project data, and support regulatory submittals and permitting processes.
• Coordinate with local and regional agencies to help secure development approvals.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional civil engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• EIT certification or PE License preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required. MicroStation Experience a plus.
• Previous experience in land development, site design, or infrastructure planning is highly desirable.

The base salary range for this position is $96,025 - $115,860 for the Washington, DC location. This offer is determined based on a number of job-related factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location.
