We are seeking a talented Cloud Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our team, where you'll play a crucial role in designing, planning, and implementing cutting-edge cloud solutions across various applications. As a key contributor, you'll manage cloud resources, automate deployments, and troubleshoot complex issues, ensuring high availability and scalability. Your expertise in public cloud platforms, such as Azure and AWS, will be instrumental in securing and optimizing our cloud environments. Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, Deploy, and Manage Azure Infrastructure Resources: Design, implement, and oversee the administration of Azure cloud infrastructure to support business needs, ensuring efficient and secure operations.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Emphasize the use of IaC practices to automate the management and provisioning of cloud resources, ensuring consistency and scalability.
- Monitor and Optimize Cloud Environments: Continuously assess performance, availability, and security of cloud environments; proactively adjust and scale resources to align with organizational demands.
- Lead Cloud and Hybrid Infrastructure Projects: Propose, plan, and execute cloud or hybrid infrastructure projects, focusing on enabling business growth while adopting an enterprise perspective.
- Develop and Enforce Compliance Policies: Ensure that cloud resources are compliant with established policies, applying industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Manage Compliant Cloud Environments: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of regulatory controls within specific managed compliant environments, such as FedRAMP and GCC. Experience with these environments is a plus, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee IT System Operations and Maintenance: Maintain accountability for the continuous operation, maintenance, and availability of IT systems.
- Manage Disaster Recovery and Backup Solutions: Ensure that disaster recovery plans are fully compliant and operational, and verify that cloud backup solutions are effective and meet compliance standards.
- Basic Understanding of DevOps Principles: Having a foundational knowledge of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines is a plus. This understanding will enhance your ability to effectively partner with and support the technologies managed by a dedicated DevOps CI/CD Specialist, contributing to seamless integration and operational efficiency.
- Implement Cost Control Measures: Develop and enforce cost control strategies to ensure that cloud expenditures are aligned with budgetary constraints.
- Research and Deploy New Technologies: Continuously explore and implement emerging technologies to support and enhance business operations.
- Mentor and Coach Team Members: Provide guidance and mentorship to functional and cross-functional team members, fostering skill development and collaboration.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Azure cloud experience.
- AWS Experience a plus
- Cloud Certifications, particularly Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python or Bash.
- Kubernetes and Docker familiarity a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP, WAN, VPN, DNS, Application Gateways, and firewalls.
- Proven experience in architecting and deploying Azure infrastructure solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, like Terraform, Chef, or Bicep templating.
- Security focused mindset across all responsible areas
- Hands-on experience with cloud security frameworks and best practices.
- Knowledge in system monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience with monitoring, performance tuning, and security of cloud environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
