ABOUT THE POSITION

Are you passionate about cloud infrastructure and keen on driving innovative solutions in a dynamic environment? We are looking for a Cloud Systems & DevOps Engineer to join our team and contribute to building and maintaining state-of-the-art cloud solutions.  You will play a key role in planning and implementing solutions for a variety of applications.  You should be well versed in public clouds and DevOps and have knowledge of the security requirements that are presented with the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, deploy and administrate Azure infrastructure resources
  • Emphasis on implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage and provision cloud resources.
  • Monitor the performance, availability, and security of cloud environments.
  • Integrate DevOps practices into cloud operations, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Develop and Enforce Compliance Policies: Implement best practices around Code Security, leveraging software packages like GitHub Advanced Security or other DAST/SAST software packages.
  • CI/CD and Build System Enablement: Set up and manage projects within Azure DevOps and GitHub. Support and optimize build processes using Angular/React/C# code. Utilize Virtual Machine Scale Sets for self-hosted pools and oversee build server pools and deployment groups for on-premises servers.
  • Establish controls and ensure compliance with industry best practices in line with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accountability for continuous operation and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Continually research and implement new technologies to support critical business functions.
  • Coach functional teams and mentor cross-functional team members within the scope of responsibility.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Azure cloud experience.
  • BS in computer science or related degree
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as C#, Angular, React, PowerShell, Python or Bash.
  • Kubernetes and Docker familiarity a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in architecting and deploying infrastructure as code solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, like Terraform, Chef, or ARM templating.
  • Security focused mindset across all responsible areas
  • Understanding of Agile, SCRUM methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with cloud security frameworks and best practices.
  • Knowledge in system monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience with monitoring, performance tuning, and security of cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

The estimated hiring salary range for this position is $105,000-$135,000. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.
