ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB’s Downtown Orlando, FL office is currently seeking an experienced IT Services Specialist to join our Corporate Information Technology team. This position stands out from typical IT roles because it emphasizes building strong relationships with employees in the offices you support. As part of a larger IT team distributed across several regions, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all technology matters. Whether you are meeting coworkers in their offices or cubes, calling, or instant messaging, you will be relied upon for your expertise and support.

 

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a well-organized individual with a passion for technology and a desire to continually learn on the job. You will have the chance to take full ownership of your office's technology needs, making this position ideal for someone who enjoys traveling, acting as the local IT partner, and staying up-to-date on emerging technology.

 

This position is based on-site in our Orlando, FL office and will require travel to our Tampa, FL, Sarasota, FL, and Atlanta, GA offices. As a critical part of ensuring our hybrid business operates seamlessly, this role is perfect for those who are service-minded and eager to advance their technology career.

 

Responsibilities

  • Proactively assist VHB employees in the use of technology
  • Configure and deploy PCs to staff
  • Provide hardware and software support to all staff
  • Identify patterns in incoming helpdesk tickets and triage accordingly
  • Deliver ad hoc training for new commercial or custom applications
  • Support other IT staff with engaging projects
  • Order equipment, assign licenses, and install software
  • Help set up technology for conference rooms and for meetings at the office, regional, or company-wide level

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in Information Technology with solid PC knowledge and interest in technology
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Working knowledge of computer software and hardware
  • Proficiency in Windows 11 troubleshooting
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to travel regularly between offices
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Preference given to candidates with experience in software such as Civil 3D, Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, ProjectWise, ACC, ArcGIS and similar applications
