Minimum Qualifications - 0-2 years of software engineering experience - BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent discipline Skills & Knowledge - Fundamental knowledge of development environments, frameworks, and languages, including but not limited to JavaScript, HTML5, C#, MVC, JQuery, Angular, React, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, and new/advanced programming languages. - Basic experience with relational database management systems, including MS SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL. - Entry-level debugging and problem-solving skills. - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. - Team oriented with ability to perform multiple tasks independently in a timely manner and collaborate effectively and positively with coworkers. - Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented. - Skills and knowledge must be commensurate with required experience and job level. ABOUT THE POSITION GIS Analyst | Williamsburg, VA Under close supervision receives specific assignments to conduct standard analyses of spatial data for users. ABOUT THE POSITION Senior Landscape Architect/Project Manager – Watertown, MA   Responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising landscape design activities. Exercises independent judgment analyzing all technical aspects of the project, defining the scope, selecting problems for investigation, developing concepts and approaches, and recommending landscape architectural design solutions.   Leads a team and is responsible for the development of aesthetically pleasing and functional site designs from concept to construction for a variety of private and public landscape architectural projects (e.g., retail, single- and multi-family residential, corporate campuses, mixed use developments, academic buildings, streetscapes, parks, plazas, public spaces).   You will be a recognized leader and authority in the field of landscape architecture.   Primary Duties & Responsibilities - Manages, plans, develops, organizes, and implements project design concepts and criteria throughout all phases of project work, from planning, design development, and construction documentation to construction administration. - You will collaborate with regional Planning and Design Service Leaders to develop and implement a strategic vision for the Landscape Design Practice. ABOUT THE POSITION Senior Transit & Rail Engineer | Hybrid | New York, NY   VHB is seeking an experienced Senior Transit & Rail Engineer to join our dynamic and growing Transportation practice in the Northeast. This position provides an opportunity to work on complex transit & rail transportation infrastructure projects and play an important role in expanding and shaping the group. Responsibilities - Perform civil design on a variety of rail projects including track structure and drainage, alignment geometry, grade crossings, stations, layover facilities, and maintenance of equipment (MOE) and maintenance of way (MOW) yards - Producing, managing, and delivering transit & rail projects from study through the construction administration phase - Managing the development of technical design and specification documents - Work within a team of professionals to develop transit planning and engineering solutions - Conduct impact studies, transit planning and scoping analyses - Prepare written planning documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports - Develop construction bid documents, proposals and scopes of work, track project budgets, and manage project teams  Skills and Attributes - Working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in civil engineering - Knowledge of local and state regulations governing site design - Strong capability in the use of computer applications including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) - Experience with the AutoCAD and MicroStation platforms  - Proficient with Microsoft Office suite - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Team oriented with ability to perform multiple tasks independently in a timely manner - Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail oriented - Motivated to lead and mentor others Qualifications - 5-8 years of transit & rail engineering experience required - 8-11 years of transit & rail engineering experience preferred - BS in Civil Engineering (a master’s degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience) - NY PE license required - Strong knowledge of track, station, layover facility and general civil engineering Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in New York City is $89,000-150,000.
