Leverages real estate market connections with developers, brokers and attorneys to drive business development activities to identify, position, win, and execute projects. Continuously build and maintain long term client relationships.  Oversees the preparation of proposals and cost estimates for clients to ensure proper scoping of services, availability of resources, and pricing to achieve desired profitability. ABOUT THE POSITION VHB’s Vermont office is seeking a Geomatics Equipment Operator to join our team. Check out VHB’s Geomatics service page to learn more about this team and our capabilities!   Responsibilities - Perform various land surveying tasks under the direction of more senior Land Surveyors including; Operation, transport and setup of Total Stations (Manual and Robotic), Data Collectors, GPS, and other Land Surveying equipment. - Reconnaissance and recovery of Land Surveying markers through use of hand tools, brush cutting, and digging. - Ability to transport Land Surveying Equipment, navigate and traverse through difficult terrain, environments and wooded areas. - Performs construction stakeout of proposed improvements, including the installation of stakes through use of sledgehammers and hand tools.   - Maintains proper care of all survey equipment. - Requires valid Driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles, including large cargo vans. - Some overnight travel may be required from time to time due to workshare opportunities with other VHB offices.      - Documents all phases of survey work through clear field notes and data collection  - Land surveying including but not limited to Boundary line, Topographic survey, Construction stakeout, and utility surveys.   Skills and Attributes - Ability to learn the proper use of GPS equipment and Manual and or Robotic Instruments. - Ability to learn mathematical concepts such as the fundamentals of geometry  - Understands the basics of Boundary Survey, Topographic, Construction, and Utility Surveys - Able to think critically - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with survey staff and clients Qualifications - Must have a high school diploma, Associates degree preferred - 0-1 years of land surveying experience - Must be detail oriented, willing to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements and willing to travel - Must have a valid driver’s license  - Must be able to lift 50lbs   WE ARE VHB!     ABOUT THE POSITION VHB is seeking a Technology Specialist to join our to join our Corporate Information Technology team to help lead and support our adoption of modern cloud-based document management solutions. This position is in direct support of our Corporate Vision of weaving technology and data into all we do. The position is flexible to remote, hybrid, or in-person.    A successful candidate would closely work with VHB’s design teamsacross our footprint in leveraging technology to facilitate effective project delivery to our clients as well as driving efficiencies into our business operations. ABOUT THE POSITION VHB’s Site Investigation and Remediation team is seeking an Environmental Scientist/GIS Analyst to join our Watertown, MA or Providence, RI office. VHB’s passionate professionals include engineers, scientists, planners, and designers who partner with public and private clients in the transportation, real estate, institutional, and energy industries, as well as federal, state, and local governments. Responsibilities - Creates graphics and figures using ArcGIS software for presentation in environmental reports. - Performs standard analysis of spatial data using GIS technology (e.g., buffering, spatial overlays, distance calculations). - Researches and corrects problems with data using spatial and logical analyses; Performs data searches and retrievals; Extracts and organizes data; Research source documents to resolve missing or conflicting data; Converts GIS data to CAD software format; Uses coordinate geometry to convert surveying data to GIS format. - Manages basic GIS projects or components of more complex GIS projects. ABOUT THE POSITION   The Workplace Operations Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day interactions with various employees, contractors and vendors regarding projects throughout the region. Within this fast-paced environment, this position must handle multiple service ticket requests and assignments and meet designated deadlines with great attention to detail and capital expenditure.   ABOUT THE POSITION Marketing Lead| flexible location   The Marketing Lead partners with marketing management, Market and Client Focus teams, and Pursuit Champions to execute marketing activities that support revenue growth. Serves as marketing lead across the client-visibility-pursuit (C-V-P) lifecycle. Independently leads, mentors, and manages other marketers. May serve as lead marketer for the region’s most complex pursuits (Super Strategic, Design Build, etc). May assist in the day-to-day management of the marketing team and/or direct reports, in coordination with marketing management.   This position is flexible and can be located in any of our 30+ VHB offices.    Responsibilities Clients - Participates in marketing and business development meetings. Understands the Focus Forward Approach and marketing’s role and strategic partnership in its success to support revenue growth and prominence in the market. - Partners with marketing management to support execution of Market and Client Focus Team strategies. - Facilitates and leads Client Mapping and SWOT analyses. - Understands Opportunity Pipeline concept and intended goals and outcomes. Works directly with technical staff to prepare proposal and interview materials, meeting required deadlines and quality expectations. Provides pursuit process leadership. - Mentors and reviews proposal and interview deliverables of peer and/or less experienced marketers. Coaches on best practices and suggestions. Ensures successful transfer of capture plan knowledge and win themes. - Partners with marketing management in facilitating Capture Planning sessions. Works with Pursuit Champions in monitoring progress and execution of Capture Planning strategies, as assigned. Communicates and elevates concerns and progress challenges to marketing management, as necessary. - Facilitates proposal strategy discussions for less experienced marketers and technical practitioners. ABOUT THE POSITION VHB’s Hauppauge and White Plains, NY offices are looking for a Senior Transportation Design Engineer to join our growing Transportation practice. VHB’s Transportation group has earned a reputation as one of the preeminent traffic engineering and transportation planning teams in Suburban New York.
