Additionally, the candidate shall possess strong attention to detail and the ability to focus on multiple assignments simultaneously.   Responsibilities - Works in conjunction with project engineer to develop horizontal and vertical roadway geometry including alignments, profiles, superelevation, curb ramps, and guardrail design - Develops engineering drawings, and exhibits for a variety of transportation projects ranging in size and complexity - Plans, researches, and produces construction drawings based on constraints defined by the project engineer, review agencies, and client needs - Determines CAD usage and application on projects - Recognizes and resolves potential construction conflicts and difficulties identified during design - Estimates number of sheets and contract drawings as well as production time required for design manager’s review - Prepare roadway design plans per FDOT FDM design guidelines and helps assemble project deliverables per FDOT CADD Handbook - Prepare Engineering cost estimates and quantity calculations. In this role you'll be developing, writing and producing a wide range of proposals and qualifications, with limited supervision, compliance with client deadlines, proposal budgets, and quality expectations. You'll also support the facilitation of proposal strategy formulation, content development, and materials production. Responsibilities - Synthesize, interpret, and lead through proposal lifecycle including RFP specifications, leading kick off meetings, collaborating with technical staff on writing assignments, and compiling final submission materials. - Develop tailored, meaningful content and design for marketing team-assigned sections, with editing and re-writing guidance from senior marketing partner. - Review and understand the need to re-message and/or differentiate content developed by technical practitioners. - Support client presentations - Shadow Senior Marketers during Super Strategic pursuits. Provide support and/or may serve as lead on a section of a complex pursuit - Actively participate in pursuit strategy and capture planning sessions. Contribute to SWOT analysis and identify gaps in intelligence. - Help track publicly posted project updates and news stories, as applicable, and share the news with the pursuit team. - Develop award visibility submittals for key projects/pursuits. - Work with Marketing leadership to help create and share overall visibility opportunities that help promote VHB’s thought leadership and brand prominence. About the Position VHB is seeking an Archaeologist to join our Environmental Services Group in Atlanta, GA.    Well-qualified candidates will have some experience conducting archaeological surveys throughout the southeastern United States. Well-qualified candidates will also possess a fundamental understanding of the Section 106 process, assessing archaeological site significance (Criterion D), and a general understanding of the prehistoric and historic cultures of the Southeast. This position would be in support of VHB’s Atlanta Environmental Group and therefore relocation to the Atlanta area would be required. Relocation assistance will be provided for the successful candidate.      Responsibilities: - Conduct Phase I and Phase II archaeological field surveys and monitoring - Prepare technical reports which assess archaeological site significance under Criterion D of the National Register of Historic Places - Prepare field survey and geographic maps using the ESRI suite of software - Provides artifact analysis and assists curation efforts - Conducts archival and historical background research - Supervise technical staff - Provide support and technical assistance with senior and mid-level staff - Assist with mapping responsibilities in the field, including collection of GPS data using Trimble units/Collector and ArcGIS online (AGOL)  Minimum Qualifications: - Master’s Degree (or higher) in anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field - Qualified archaeologist under the Secretary of the Interior guidelines - Archaeological Field School from an Accredited College or University - 3+ years experience conducting and leading archaeological surveys - Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, and ESRI software (Arcmap and AGOL) - Ability to travel to a location, walk/hike and conduct fieldwork for long hours, sometimes in inclement weather, rugged terrain, and ability to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds is required - Valid driver’s license - OSHA 10 preferred Ideal Skills and Experience - Field supervisory experience in the southeastern United States - Familiarity working with FHWA NEPA compliance and state DOTs - Familiarity with NEPA, ARPA, NHPA, NAGPRA - Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills - Team oriented with strong capability to work independently and as part of a group - Registered Professional Archaeologist   This position requires COVID-19 vaccination per client requirements.     WE ARE VHB!
