ABOUT THE POSITION VHB’s Environmental Resources Group in Atlanta is seeking a senior historian to work with our expanding cultural resources group. Key responsibilities include historic resource survey and the preparation of environmental and planning-related documents for transportation, planning, and land development projects.   This position requires periodic outdoor work with limited travel. Strong written and verbal communication skills are paramount, and the ideal candidate must be detail-oriented with the ability to effectively convey technical information. ABOUT THE POSITION VHB is hiring an early-career Environmental Planner to join our Watertown, MA office and support a wide variety of projects across our environmental planning practice. VHB is seeking a professional who has interest and experience in preparing environmental review documentation in accordance with the federal-level National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and state-level Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA), as well as other environmental studies for a diverse set of clients. This person will also be expected to support the team’s growing portfolio of sustainability and climate action planning projects, which range from high-level plans (e.g., net zero road mapping) to detailed technical analyses (e.g., greenhouse gas emissions accounting).     VHB’s overall environmental team provides a wide range of integrated services such as environmental permitting, sustainability and resiliency planning, urban planning, comprehensive master planning, solid waste management, air quality and noise studies, natural resource management, water conservation and water quality projects, historic resource planning, and community engagement. We are looking for applicants that have an interest in our full range of environmental services. The selected candidate will work with a dynamic team of transportation planners and engineers on a variety of public, private, and institutional projects within broad cross-section of markets, including real estate municipal, state agencies, higher education, federal lands and aviation. Our team uses its skills and experience to improve our communities with a sustainable, context-driven and integrated project delivery approach.
