About the Position The marketing program coordinator will under general supervision, coordinate tasks and provides professional administrative support for one or more functional areas of the team. About the Position Preservation Planner/Architectural Historian | Watertown, MA VHB’s Environmental Resources Group is seeking a full-time,  preservation planner/architectural historian to work with our expanding cultural resources group. Key responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of environmental and planning-related documents for transportation, planning, and land development projects and state and federal historic tax credit projects. Responsibilities: - Work as part of our Watertown Cultural Resources Team - Work as part of an interdisciplinary team with cultural resource and environmental professionals in other VHB departments and regional offices in need of historic preservation planning and compliance services - Support the cultural resources team on Section 106, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA), and other applicable federal, state, and local historic preservation reviews for public and private sector clients. The intern program is designed to round out participants’ academic learning with real world experience and help them explore related areas of practice to find the best fit for their career path.   Northeastern University Co-op term runs from January - June 2023.   Land Development engineers require a variety of skills to develop ideas and creative solutions that help make challenging development projects a reality. We are there at every stage of a project; from preliminary research, site survey, conceptual/final design, and permitting, all the way through construction. We work closely with VHBers across disciplines, and consultants to ensure a project fulfills the needs of our client.   Responsibilities - Collaborate with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner - Assist in development of planning and engineering solutions - Assist in data mining and visualization - Perform analysis of data or calculations - Perform field data collection and other on-site project support activities - Prepare written documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports Skills and Abilities - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Team oriented with strong capability to work independently - Self-motivated with attention to detail - A strong work ethic with the desire to learn and achieve - Knowledge of drawing and mapping tools such as AutoCAD and GIS - Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) required Qualifications - Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field - Strong interest in transportation, land development, urban design, real estate, environmental, institutional, or energy sector - Ability to work on a computer remotely if necessary - Ability to travel locally and complete fieldwork if necessary Check out all the latest news and projects happening across VHB here.
