ABOUT THE POSITION VHB’s growing Atlanta Archaeology Group is seeking Archaeological Field Technicians to support our team for Phase I archaeological field survey work for projects throughout Georgia and the Southeast. Projects are expected to begin in May and last for up to 12 weeks or more. For projects located outside of the greater Atlanta area, hotel room accommodations and meals will be reimbursed. Field vehicles and transportation to survey areas will also be provided. Preference will be given to those candidates who currently reside in the Southeast.   Pay Range - $20/hr - $23/hr. However, the final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, and experience.   Responsibilities - Conduct Phase I archaeological fieldwork, including pedestrian survey, shovel testing, and field data recording of soils, artifact finds, and site resources. - Assist with mapping responsibilities in the field, including collection of data using handheld GPS units; Survey123 and Field Maps App. - Work closely with project team under the supervision of VHB archaeologists. Must be able to carry field equipment weighing up to 40 pounds for extended periods. ABOUT THE POSITION The Workplace Operations Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day interactions with various employees, contractors, and vendors regarding facilities projects throughout the region. Within this fast-paced environment, this position must handle multiple service ticket requests and assignments and meet designated deadlines with great attention to detail and capital expenditure. Projects may also include coordinating minor construction, renovation, and preventative maintenance activities.   With this opportunity comes the responsibility of keeping our locations fully functional. It also requires providing the Workplace Operations Manager with input in the planning and design of preventative maintenance programs. ABOUT THE POSITION VHB’s New England Region is seeking a Geomatics Equipment Operator to join our team. This position assists and/or prepares in drafting and producing routine proposals, qualifications, and other marketing materials with close supervision and direction from others.
