About the Position VHB’s Northeastern University Co-op - Watertown, MA is designed to introduce Northeastern students into the workforce. Yes! We are seeking a Creative Graphic Design Co-op to join our corporate team. This role supports marketing, business development, employee engagement programs, and brand stewardship activities across our footprint through high-quality digital and print marketing and communication pieces. This co-op role will help support our brand, messages, and strategies and collaborate within a network of VHB’s in-house graphic designers. Additionally, this position will work closely with marketing, communication, and technical colleagues to learn best practices in conceptualizing, presenting, and producing design concepts and solutions. Candidates will be requested to show design portfolios. Responsibilities - Learn and support graphic design preparation efforts through all phases of development and final production of materials, which may include dynamic presentations, employee engagement initiatives, internal promotional and communication materials, video, and/or external visibility projects - Opportunity to participate in kick-off meetings, check-ins, and final review meetings - Learn to serve as brand and culture ambassador - Awareness of compliance with VHB corporate branding standards, formats, and template styles - Become informed on how QA/QC standards are met - Conceptualize, collaborate, and execute on design briefs and assignments while maintaining project vision - Actively learn about VHB’s culture, leadership, organizational goals, markets, and services Skills and Attributes - Proactive organizational skills - Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills - Self-motivated - Exceptional attention to detail - Ability to think critically - Ability to edit materials quickly and accurately while under time constraints - Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects and meet deadlines - Excel in working in a highly collaborative environment Qualifications - 0-2 years of graphic design experience, preferably in A/E/C environment. - Working towards Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, or similar. - Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs, including InDesign and PowerPoint - Skills and interest in photography, video, animation, and social media a plus About Us WE ARE VHB! About the Position VHB is seeking a Site Investigation & Remediation Manager to join our growing practice in Hauppauge, NY.    Responsibilities - Project management - Preparation of technical proposals - Budgeting and staff management/mentoring - Client development/retention - Preparation and review of high-quality technical reports and deliverables in accordance with regulatory standards and the company’s quality goals - Manage effective site investigation and remediation field programs - Provide hands-on support during field exploration and testing - Interpret and communicate investigation findings - Leverage technology to support data management and visualization - Manage Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments  Skills and Attributes - Strong understanding of New York State regulatory requirements, including NYSDEC DER-10 and NYSDEC Part 375 - Strong understanding of USEPA, Nassau and Suffolk County Underground Injection Control (UIC) regulations - Ability to make quick decisions regarding regulatory applicability and respond to clients in an efficient manner - Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills - Willingness to mentor junior staff and work in a team-based atmosphere - Motivated and able to problem-solve and work independently - Effectively communicate complex topics with colleagues and clients - Recognize and manage business risk Qualifications - B.S. in Natural Science related field - Master’s Degree preferred (a master’s degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience) - 8-11 years of professional environmental/remediation consulting experience required - OSHA 40 hr.
