About the Position The Transit & Rail Operations Planner prepares analyses of existing and proposed transit & rail services, develops conceptual timetables and vehicle schedules, estimates vehicle requirements and operating costs, and assesses impacts on ridership and infrastructure capacity.   Responsibilities - Develop transit operating schedules (bus and rail), and calculate related operating statistics and costs. - Perform operations analysis and simulation tasks on a variety of Transit and Rail projects.  - Work effectively and collaboratively in a multi-discipline team environment. - Facilitate, coordinate, and document meetings with public partners. - Assist in the preparation of planning documents for public sector projects. - Prepare technical reports and analyses.
